Grape info: A native of the northern Rhône valley, Shiraz has been transplanted to many wine regions throughout the world where it is prized for producing full bodied wines with complex notes of leather, liquorice, and black pepper supported by soft, structural tannins, a weighty mid palate and age-worthy potential.
About: Established 75 years ago, but with a story spanning almost 90 years, Calabria has established itself as one of the top twenty wine producers in Australia. The Richland series was originally inspired by the Mediterranean climate and rich, fertile soils of South-eastern Australia and is devoted to the pioneers and founders of Calabria Family Wines; Francesco & Elisabetta Calabria.
Matured in American oak barrels six to eight months before blending and bottling.
