Grape info: Sicily’s most important red variety and the seventh most popular in Italy, Nero d’Avola has demonstrated its ability to produce some fine wines, sensitive of their terroir. Expressions can vary greatly depending on where they are grown but tend towards ripe cherry fruits, dried herbs, spice and tar.
About: Breathing new life into ancient and unique vineyards across Italy, Minini seek to marry new technologies with tradition. A family-run enterprise since 1920, they have been developing relationships and cooperative projects with growers from many of Italy’s wine-producing regions for over 100 years. Grown on the southwestern part of the island around the town on Marsala.
