Grape info: Merlot’s soft, attractive fruitiness have seen it transplanted to practically every wine growing region in the world. France’s most planted varietal, it offers softer tannins than its traditional blending partner, Cabernet Sauvignon, with plenty of alluring blue fruit flavours that make it easy to appreciate.
About: Fruit for the Griffin Ridge Rouge is harvested from a number of the hottest and driest sites across the Languedoc region. The juice undergoes a hot maceration before fermentation to extract fruit and colour.
