Sweetness: Dry
Grapes: Grenache Noir, Syrah, Mourvèdre
Grape info: Grenache confers its deep colour, medicinal levels of alcohol and an attractive herby, spicey character to Syrah’s fruit, structural tannins, a weighty mid palate.
About: From a French wine-making duo who don’t own their own vineyards but work with estates across the Rhone valley to produce expert, modern interpretations, cognisant of tradition and context.
Wines are partially aged in large oak barrels and stainless-steel tanks for a period of twelve months.
Tasting note: A nose of pine, rosemary, thyme and dry grass. The palate shows liquorice, myrtle and blackcurrant with notes of cacao and smoke. Lengthy finish.
