Grape: Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Merlot, Carmenère, Petit Verdot
Grape info: Cabernet’s Franc’s soft structure and perfumed aromatics are here blended with Syrah’s complex notes of leather, tobacco and spice. Merlot adds a pliant fruitiness with Carmenere and Petit Verdot adding colour and structure.
About: Founded over a century ago, Viña La Rosa is located in one of Chile’s most exciting wine regions in the Cachapoal Valley: Peumo. Today, the traditions of its founders inspire a sustainable approach to viticulture and continue to inform a terroir-based mindset where respect for the environment is paramount.
Fruit for the ‘Don Reca’ is Harvested from Peumo, one of Chile's up-and-coming wine districts with a growing reputation for producing some of the country’s finest Carmenere. Wines are aged for twelve months in French oak before bottling.
