Grape info: Though indigenous to France, Sauvignon’s unique aromatic profile has seen it successfully transplanted all over the world to become the third most cultivated variety, behind only Chardonnay and Airén. Its enduring popularity is down to its distinctive, multi-layered combination of youthful, ‘green’ flavours matched with a keen acidity, capable of producing wines of real substance.
About: Founded over a century ago, Viña La Rosa is located in one of Chile’s most exciting wine regions in the Cachapoal Valley: Peumo. Today, the traditions of its founders inspire a sustainable approach to viticulture and continue to inform a terroir-based mindset where respect for the environment is paramount.
Specially selected grapes are machine harvested in the cool of the night to preserve fresh fruit flavours. Temperature controlled fermentations retain Sauvignon’s clean, fresh and fruity flavours.
