Grape: Alicante Bouchet, Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional
Grape info: Alicante Bouchet produces very deeply coloured, soft and fruity wines that have, of late, found particular success in Portugal’s Alentejo region. Unusually for red grapes, the pulp is also red, hence its deeply hued wines. Touriga Franca adds a perfumed elegance while Touriga Nacional confers colour, tannin and age-worthy potential.
