Grape info: Tempranillo produces markedly tannic wines with notes of leather, tobacco, spice and sometimes strawberries. Graciano retains its acidity exceptionally well, adding freshness and aromatics.

Winemaker Javier Rodríguez employs an ethos of sustainable agriculture, increasingly within the framework of biodynamic and organic viticulture to create distinctive wines, rooted in tradition, with a modern twist.

Apasionado is the first wine made in the Italian ‘ripasso’ style from Rioja. Grapes are left to dehydrate on the vine and harvested late in order to concentrate their sugars and flavours, producing a richer, more powerful style.

Tasting note: Intense ruby colour with aromas of ripe black fruits, spices, balsamic, candied plums and chocolate. Powerful yet balanced and smooth with a long, complex finish.
