Grape info: A native of Croatia (Tribidrag), Primitivo has been successfully transplanted to a number of regions around the world, most notably California, where it’s known as Zinfandel. Wines are typically rich, full-bodied and alcoholic with aromas of stewed fruit, dried herbs and tobacco.
About: The Leese-Fitch range is designed specifically to be easy to love, with a straightforward appeal that delivers approachable and delicious wines at keen prices.The majority of the grapes for the Leese-Fitch Zinfandel come from the sun-drenched Lodi region as well as Madera County, Clarksburg, and Dry Creek Valley Sonoma. Lodi fruit brings bright, warm weather character while the slightly cooler Clarksburg region brings the structure as well as the enticing briar patch characteristics. A blend of Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Merlot, and other reds, the final blend uses different varietals to craft a delicious, easy-to-drink Zinfandel for everyday enjoyment.
