Grape info: Few grapes can match Pinot Noir’s almost mythical ability to communicate terroir. Although its sensitivity makes it challenging to grow, it is the very thing that makes it capable of almost unrivalled nuance. For many, the best Pinot Noirs represent a summit of what is achievable in wine.     

Info: Founded in 1831, Albert Bichot’s vineyards now encompass six estates that cover Burgundy from north to south. Working together with their grower partners, they practise sustainable viticulture with a commitment to converting fully to organic viticulture in the Côte d’Or.

Tasting note: The nose features delectable scents of red and black fruit, cherry, blackcurrant, raspberry and spices. On the palate, this wine is fleshy and boasts a delicate tannic structure. The finish is lengthy with notes of hibiscus and hints of mushroom.
