Sweetness: Dry
Grape: Grenache Noir
Grape info: With its medicinal levels of alcohol and an attractive herby, spicey character, Grenache lends itself very well to rosé production. Southern France can produce some of the world’s finest iterations of this style, often displaying a refined mineral structure and elegance.
About: Vines are cultivated on south facing slopes in the foothills of the Black Mountain where the fresh breezes, morning mists and high diurnal temperature variations allow the grapes to mature slowly. The resulting rosé is vibrant, crisp and balanced, with intense and expressive aromas.
Grapes are harvested at night when temperatures are low to help retain freshness and acidity. A cool fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats before a four-month aging period on the lees, adding texture and complexity.
Tasting note: The nose displays delicious aromas of fresh red fruits followed by floral notes, and a hint of wild herbs. Strawberries and cream with a refreshing acidity and good length.
Character: Strawberries, cream, floral
