Grape info: A native of the Loire Valley in France, Chenin can and is made in almost every conceivable style. South Africa has the largest area under vine in the world. Here, it’s prized for its ability to retain acidity in the heat, proving extremely useful in everything from blends to sparkling wines. Typically zesty and fresh with notes of honey, apples and straw.

Hand-harvested whole bunch Chenin Blanc destemmed and cold macerated on the skins. Six day skin contact. After pressing the juice undergoes wild fermentation and partial Malo in 500L older French oak barrels. Further barrel aging on the fine lees for 8 months before bottling.
