Grape info: Once more famous for its role in Brandy production, Colombard has seen a recent increase in plantings owing to the demand for its fresh, floral and inexpensive light wines. Ugni Blanc, (France’s most planted white) provides a tart, refreshing acidity.
About: Fruit for Les Ormières is harvested early to help retain freshness before a gentle press, collecting only the ‘free-run’ juices. Fermented in stainless steel tanks before a four-month, lees-aging period, adding complexity.
