Grape info: A blend of 50% Sauvignon and Colombard. Sauvignon’s highly aromatic notes of cut grass, nettles, green peppers and tropical fruit merge mellifluously with Colombard’s light, fresh floral character.
About: Once devoted entirely to Armagnac production, Gascony has since cultivated a reputation for good quality, inexpensive, refreshing white wines. Fruit for the Parlemont Sauvignon is hand-harvested overnight when cooler temperatures help to retain freshness and acidity. Fermentation takes place at low temperatures to preserve the grapes natural aromatic intensity.
