Sweetness: Dry

Grapes: Glera (Prosecco)

Grape info: Though Glera’s precise origins remain in dispute, its popularity does not. The great majority is used for sparkling and semi-sparkling production in the Veneto region of northeast Italy, most importantly in the DOCG of Conegliano-Valdobbiadene. With enough sun exposure the grapes can develop complex, refined, characteristically light flavours with delicate floral aromatics.

About: Founded in the hills of Valdobbiadene, La Tordera is at the heart of the Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG production area, between Venice and the Dolomites. Always on the lookout for innovation whilst mindful of their bond with our land and its traditions, they pursue ever more "green” approaches to winemaking in harmony with the environment.

Fruit for the Serrai is harvested from the hills in Vidor, one of the fifteen DOCG municipalities of Prosecco. A four-week second fermentation follows temperature controlled pressing to retain Glera’s natural aromatics.

Tasting note: Fine and persistent bubbles. A fruity nose of Bartlett pear, with floral hints of lily and bellflower. Well balanced with a keen acidity and hint of sweetness, with notes of tangerine and acacia flower.

Character: Citrus, floral, pear
