Grape info: The only permitted variety in any of the Muscadet appellations, Melon produces lean, crisp, saline wines with a touch of citrus that make an excellent accompaniment to the local seafood. Those designated ‘sur-lie’ undergo an extended period of aging on the lees adding a more textural quality with yeasty notes and hints of apple and pear.
